Monday, 20 August 2007 Opening Party Electronic Music and Experimental Music Performance 07:00 PM This is the first event for Cellsbutton#01 – Yogyakarta International Media Art Festival. It was held inside the lobby of a shopping mall called Jogjatronik. It is located in central of Yogyakarta and it is a central space for electronic equipment trading centre. The electronic equipments for the performance mostly were supported by the administrator of Jogjatronik, and Kalasan Multimedia Video Indonesia. The performance was started with an electronic music by Lintang Enrico from Yogyakarta collaborating with Magas from New York. The experimental visual performers were The Projectors and VJ Publicspace from Surabaya, The Departure (http://raphaeldontknee.multiply.com), Vjnumberone (http://vjnumberone.wordpress.com) from Yogyakarta and Perezoldskool (http://perezoldskool.com) from Malaysia. MC Erno also joined the performers and filling the music with his characteristic voice. They were all gathered in the center round shaped lobby on the lowest ground of Jogjatronic. The visuals were displayed through 6 projectors and 20 TVs surrounding all of the performers. In the middle of the period there was also a performance from a group called Jahanam from Yogyakarta. After cheering the audience with their voice, the performance started again when the lightings from Jogjatronik began turning off as it was the time for the shops to close. The performance ended at 10:00 PM with a warm response from the audience as it was opened serials of events Cellsbutton#01 – Yogyakarta International Media Art Festival for the first time in Indonesia.
