LABRATORY – CELLSBUTTON#01 Closing Party Embassy Club Yogyakarta 10:00 PM This was the last event in Cellsbutton#01 – Yogyakarta International Media Art Festival. The House of Natural Fiber (HONF) collaborated with NUlab Records presented Labratory – Ultimate Drum n’ Bass Party at Embassy for the closing party. This was the third Labratory organized by NUlab; a well known DJ community in Yogyakarta and for this special occasion, NUlab held Laboratory that was also meant for the farewell party to all the artists, officials and audience that involved in Cellsbutton#01. The party started at 10:00 PM with Drum n’ Bass performers such as DJ Wza, DJ Bima, DJ Celcius, MC Erno, MC Electrocore, MC Jamze, and also Dubyouth’s characteristic music. The visual performances were led by Vjnumberone, The Departure and The Projectors. The party filled with fast beats, astonishing visual elements and wild dances from all of the people who were there. The dance floor was crowded with tireless bodies, spilled drinks, cheerfulness and laughter’s as unity was in the air that night. It was a strange mixed emotional moments for everyone involved in Cellsbutton#01. After 11 days of workshops, presentations, discussions, screenings, installations, performances, and parties, Cellsbutton#01 finally ended. Everybody embraced their farewell with new found friends, brothers and sisters from Cellsbutton#01 until it was the final moment to say goodbye. A farewell with a hope that unification will come again in the near future. As for HONF it was a proud moment to present Cellsbutton for the first time. It was a privilege to create it and it is an important mission to organize the next one. In the end, HONF would like to thanks all participants, artists, performers, lecturers, audience, VJs, DJs, MCs, partners, collaborators, supporting communities, sponsors, officials, and everyone that supported Cellsbutton#01 in any way. It’s been an honour to work in unity. Through a proud salutation, HONF would like to say good bye to all ‘Cells’, until we meet again in Cellsbutton#02 – 2008.
