HONF participate on Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta XXII 2010 (FKY XXII 2010), as this year, the theme is "Art_Community" exhibition, HONF presenting one work taken from cellsKIT program, named "Fruit Wine Fermentation" as the main installation to exhibit. The "Art_Community" exhibition is one of the sub program on FKY XXII 2010, take venue on Vredeburg Fort, Yogyakarta.
The Fruit Wine fermentation has been developed past 2 month at HONF lab, collaborate with microbiology laboratorium, Gadjah Mada University. The installation is well mixed between art, science and technology, which involved some experties both from HONF and microbiology laboratorium. The 'alcohol issue' is lifted to the surface to bring a slight education to people to know the characteristics of local fruit to be fermentated, the process of fermentations, and also the important of gain knowledge to be awared the differentiation between ethanol and methanol.
Intelligent Bacteria is one of the research program in the Education Focus Program (EFP), which focuses on the collaboration between art and science. This program is the result of collaboration between HONF and a scientist community from the University of Gajah Mada (UGM) to explore the field of microbiology and biotechnology. Intelligence Bacteria have a main goal to bridge the practice, theories and innovative ideas from the fields of art and science to actualize it's application based on generic infrastructure and affordable technologies. This platform was built from a common vision to develop and integrate the two fields of disciplines to find new forms of innovation which refers to the needs of interdisciplinary actions for the wide society.

Basic Thought Based on the mass media in the past two months, numerous victims have died in vain due to unfortunate self-made alcohol drinks. Directly or not, this phenomenon occurred post the announcement of new regulation from the Ministry of Financial Department (PMK) No.62 of 2010 date 17/03 (Peraturan Menteri Keuangan (PMK) No.62 tahun 2010 tanggal 17/03) about the increasement in excise duty on alcohol. breakcore_LABS 0.7.2 - cok2cok was enriched by 2 activities beside the audiovisual performance. The first activity was a T-Shirt Printing that was given by 337 with Reza a.k.a Aa’Arul as the leading man. The T-shirt printing was done manually by hand and was given for free for all the audience in breakcore_LABS 0.7.2. All the audience have to do were to bring any t-shirt with any color, and they can get the free printing of breakcore_LABS 0.7.1 picture on their T-shirt. The picture itself was made by Ichan Harem, and Reza has prepared several color for the audience to choose to match with their T-shirt color. Later on that night, many of the audiences were using different color of T-shirts with the same print design on it.
River Pollution: Analyzing river pollution level from industrial waste water through Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) water sample examination
Intro to River Pollution
Fresh water from rivers that generally flows through residential or industrial areas are often used for daily life purpose. People live around the river most likely uses river as source of water provider and as a house waste disposal while industries will use it as a final destination of their waste disposal. Those are the main factor that influenced the condition of water in the river declining that could lead to a significant lost in the river ecosystem.
Nalareksa: Investigation on Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide Amounts In The Air Using Location-Based Aerated Water Sample
Nalareksa Research
Intro to Nalareksa
Nalareksa is a method of air analysis by using water as a mediator for the research. To investigate out the elements in air, we could use water as a mediator for the container of the elements from the air if we know the balance condition between air and water. Nalareksa was founded by Prof. Ir. Hardjoso Prodjopangarso as his intention for his research could be useful by small people in Indonesia.
In “old Javanese”, the word nala means beloved ones and the word reksa means nourishing. Literally, nalareksa represent the world as a beloved one that needs nourishing from humans. In this case, taking precautions to pollutants that may cause destruction to the world. Every equipments, sciences and technologies forNalareksa were created by the simplest approach so it could be reached by common. That’s why all the instruments in Nalareksa are made using easy-to-find materials in Indonesia. As already known, people became realizes of climate changes as the result of the significant increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gases (gas emission caused by fossil fuels usage for transportations) and deforestation in concentrations via enhanced greenhouse effects. CO2/CO in large concentrations are created reducing benefit elements such as O2/O3 concentration for humans.
