Constant research and studies by artists and scientists to seek a rudimentary form of intelligence from the simplest things alive; bacteria, and its’ relation to aesthetic and use for human daily purpose. The ‘house of natural fiber’ / HONF lab will continue ‘education focus program’ / EFP agenda in a discussion between artists and scientist on the topics of intelligent_bacteria? ; forms of intellectual in bacteria system of communication, networking and signal processing.

After days of work hard from all HONF and friends trying to recover HONF website, Tommy finally able to retrieve the website. There has been a discussion on the Bricolabs mailing list about how hard it is to retrieve it due to the slow connection to HONF server. Now we could use the website again for important news and update on HONF activities.
Our first news on Cellsbutton#02 is about writings that need to be collected soon in order to update the cellsdaily report about all activities that occurred on Cellsbutton#02. The writings that need to be collected from each participant are:

Unofficial cells agenda
Early arrivals of Cellsbutton#02 participants have always been a heavy (eyes) task and small touring task for HONF members. This time, it was Olivier Schulbaum and Susana Noguero from Platoniq (Spain) who gets a little cultural visits (or more precisely coffee visits) around Yogyakarta. Arriving from Bali at 7 AM in Adi Sucipto airport, HONF took them to a cozy café in Seturan area Yogyakarta for a quick break of coffee. The tour was continued to Pakualaman’s castle where a small place traditional of ice cream fruit salad was located. Emma who also participate on the tour was delightful to taste the fruit salad with several elementary school kids were entertaining Olivier and Susana with their traditional handmade paper shotgun.

Wicked Collection
HONF meets with Mr. Bambang Setiawan, head professor from PPPPTK art university (photography and computer graphic department) in Kaliurang to discuss the technical arrangements for Cellsonic. HONF gets the privilege to visit Mr. Bambang in his studio on the photography faculty of PPPPTK. The studio displayed much old stuff from toys, radios, clocks and cameras. As a photography teacher he collected many old cameras that he used in the past and we were surprised with the good condition of all the collection. But what’s more surprising for HONF was his collection of full packs unopened cigarettes. With a total of 3620 packs, Mr. Bambang hold the record as the cigarette collector from Indonesia World Record Museum (MURI) and he even don’t smoke!!?? Well if it were us, we will never make 10 packs… errgghh make that 2 packs… opened…

Crossover on 888
Happy 8th anniversary dyne.org!!! HONF and Cellsbutton#02 participants motivated by Jaromil’s idea to go to Merapi Mountain on 8 August 2008 to celebrate this special day for dyne.org and the world. After the issues brought into Bricolabs mailing list and many positive responds from the others, 888 smoky mountains for HONF is definitely a must.
